Mom

A lot of people ask me about my Mom and what she is doing now…. So here is a little update.  She is retired from the bench and having a great time.  She bought and moved into a beautiful house in Austin, Texas.  She still owns her house in Kansas, but it is on the market.  If you know anyone who needs a big house in the country with land and a barn send me a comment, I can give you the details.  My mom would be thrilled to get it sold. Anyhow, Austin is great.  My Aunts (my mom's sisters) also live down there.  They all have a great time together.  All three of them make beautiful quilts.  My mom currently has a quilt on display at the University of Austin because it was the winner of the Austin Quilt Guild.  My mother also enjoys working in her flowerbeds.  I think she was sort of worried about moving to a new place out of the blue at first, but I think she's getting everything figured out and is doing great.  I myself love Austin; every time I've gone down to visit her there has been a show I've wanted to see.  All sorts of great bands come out of Austin and go there to play.  South by Southwest (music fest) is held there and I can't wait to catch the next one.
