| In life I play softball, surf, and hang out with my "fam bam". Everyone in my family is
truly unique in their own ways. One thing that we have in common is that everyone of my
cousin’s, excluding one, has blonde hair and blue eyes. Each kid takes part in their
preferred sport. My younger sister and I are the first of the grandkids to receive
scholarships for athletics. Everyone of my aunts and uncle are people who get along .
with everyone. They love to party and play sports as well as watch them. This is why
I call them my “fam bam”.
Now for the reason they call me Amanda Panda. I am cute and cuddly of course, but it
also rhymes. I don’t much listen for Amanda any more, I mainly respond to Evans and Panda.
My coach for my softball team at UMKC does not like my nickname, but she slips it out every
once in a while and I laugh. Other than softball, I love to surf and skate, as well as jam
out too tunes on the old iPHONE. |

| California is my first love, well next to softball. I am from Rialto, CA the sun,
sand, palm trees, and just love of the people are all i need to get through any day. Living in
California you meet many different people. Some who seem like they dont have a care in the
world, and the others that think only of themselves and no one else. Being able to live
in a LOVELY climate all year around I was able to surf, skateboard, and play softball
all year around. This caused me to become some what of a beach bum, and also to excel in
softball. |
| My family is the most rockin-est fam bam out there! My mother and father met
while my mother was graduating high school. My father, or POPS, as I like to call him is born
and raised in the 626, which is Covina California. He comes from a family of 7. Five all together,
4 boys and 1 girl. My aunts and uncles are all apart of our lives as well. My mother was born in
South Dokota and moved to California when she was 16, with her mother and sister. They
produced two wonderful daughters, yours truly and my younger sister Bryanne. I was born
December 1st 1987 at Hoag Hospital in New Port Beach, California. My sister, Bree for short, was
born at the same hospital but January 25th 1990. My sister and I attend school on softball scholarships.
Bree attends the University of Michigan. She is starting left fielder, and lead off batter and is only
a freshman.
My family is very involved, and my sister and myself have a open relationship with my parents.
We can talk to them about just about everything. We make them proud everyday, and I am glad to
call them Maaaaa & Pops!
My aunts and uncles all play a big role. They are the ones I can always call just to talk and
they will listen. Always keeping things in, and letting what needs to be heard out. All
together my family is huge. Alone there are 15 total grandkids. We all get along, and the older
ones always looked after the younger ones. We all have blonde hair and blue eyes, the exception
in that one is Kieran. He has brown hair and brown eyes. |
| MY SISTER is my BEST FRIEND! We have been playing softball together since we have
started. I love her with my whole heart, and she is a role model for me. She plays at the University
Of Michigan, and she is one of the hardest working softball players I have known. She doesnt know
that she is one of my role models, but she was one of my top rivels. We both have pushed each other
in ways that would not make sense to anyone else. She is also the only person I can get in a fight
with and forgive them about 2 minutes later. I <3 HER!! |
| Growing up in Rialto California, you see and experience a lot by the age of 15. Rialto is
definitely no Beverly Hills. Although most experience's can be dangerous or safe, they
help you find out who your true friends are. I have three very close girl friends, and about
8 close guy friends. We all hang out together, and we call ourselves
The Block! We all know eachother has anothers back. "Never turn" is our motto.
It means many things, but the main meaning is that we will always be there for one another, and
so far no one has showed different. |
I listen to my iPOD every minute of every day. I think without music life would be boring and
dull. The thought of no way to express ourselves is just sad. There would be nothing to listen to
when are happy, sad, confused, or excited. Everything would be silent, and we would just hear
random noises. Many artist write songs from experiences that might have been life lessons.
Music, to me, is something that you play according to your mood at the moment. You can play
rap, ROCK, or certain pop songs. When your mad you most definitly play
PUNK. When your sad or having a not so great day you play my favorite music style,
R&B.
Softball has been in my life since I was 6 years old. This being my senior year in
college is my last year playing. I cant imagine it being out of my life. I have met some
of my best friends because of this sport. It is my first true love and it is going to
be my career. I plan to become a coach for softball, starting out on a High School level, and
working my way up to a University coach. |
